Design, validate and justify the benefits of diagnostics for systems
MADe provides the engineer with a model based approach to the identification of syndromes of system response that are used to isolate failure modes and their system effects under expected normal operating conditions. MADe generates alternate sensor sets to provide optimal coverage of failure modes based on user defined parameters for the system.
The MADe solution enables the engineer to conduct trade studies on the cost, performance and capability of alternate sensor sets (including legacy sensor sets that leverage in-built tests and control sensors) to address system integrity and sustainment of the asset for both new and fielded systems.
Importantly, MADe’s model based approach ensures that the diagnostic capability for an asset can be designed concurrently with the system engineering process – rather than seeking to ‘retrofit’ this capability onto a system as a final stage in the design process.
