When to use MADE

MADE improves the quality of decision making at every step of a system’s lifecycle (Bid / Proposal, Acquisition, Design, and Sustainment / Asset Management).

There are compounding benefits if MADE is applied from the initial stage of a project, the advantages of MADE support a business case for implementation for stand-alone analysis (e.g. FMECA or Maintenance Optimization)

Bid / Proposal

MADE integrates the analysis capabilities required to determine the costs of alternate maintenance approaches to ensure Availability and Safety. MADE ensures the accuracy of the budget estimation for the proposal by making sure the solution is practical and cost effective for system engineering and extensible across the design and sustainment process.

Acquisition

MADe ensures efficiency and probity in the Acquisition evaluation process with simulation / automation to support trade studies, and configuration management / traceability of the analysis. Analysis outputs are based on standardized data structures, workflows and report formats aligned with the relevant requirements of the organization (commercial /military standards),

Design

The Design process establishes the inherent safety, reliability and maintainability of a system – and MADE enables concurrent engineering-based trade studies to optimize the cost of design vs the total cost of ownership as the design matures.

The information generated by MADE is configuration controlled, extensible and effectively managed/transferred to stakeholders in the design process, and integrated with the Digital Twin / Thread to ensure consistent and objective risk identification and mitigation processes to achieve a compliant and cost-effective design.

Sustainment/Asset Management

Continuous improvement of the maintenance required for a system requires operational data and consistency in the decision-making process, knowledge transfer and management capabilities to support the necessary analysis. As a simulation-based solution, MADE has standardised workflows that use significant automation to generate analysis outputs to support decisions on Readiness, Safety and the Total Cost of Ownership.
