MADE 3.9.1 License Server Upgrade

PHM Technology is updating its licensing infrastructure. Customers using Zentitle Cloud Licensing must upgrade to MADE 3.9.1 before 29 June 2026 CST to avoid licensing disruption.

Why this matters

Why is this upgrade necessary?

PHM Technology is consolidating and improving its licensing technology to support future MADE releases, improved security, faster release cycles, and a stronger licensing platform. Moving customers to MADE 3.9.1 ensures licensing remains aligned with the latest supported infrastructure.

Important warning

If you use Zentitle Cloud Licensing and do not upgrade in time, MADE may lose access to licensing and cease operating until the upgrade is completed.

Upgrade steps by licensing type

Follow the path below that matches your current MADE licensing configuration.

Path 1 — Urgent

You currently use Zentitle Cloud Licensing

Upgrade to MADE 3.9.1 before 29 June 2026 CST. In most cases, migration happens automatically on first launch.

Download MADE 3.9.1Download the latest MADE 3.9.1 installer from the PHM Technology downloads page.
Install the upgradeInstall MADE 3.9.1 on your workstation. You can install over your existing version.
Open MADELaunch MADE after installation.
Check for automatic migrationIf MADE opens normally and your licensed features are available, no further action is required. Your existing license code has been migrated automatically.
Use the License Wizard if promptedIf the License Wizard appears, enter your current license code and follow the on-screen steps.
Confirm operationConfirm MADE launches successfully and you can open your licensed features.
Contact support if neededContact PHM Technology support if licensing does not activate or you are unsure which code to use.
Path 2

You use the Zentitle Daemon Server offline

Upgrade MADE to 3.9.1 and move from the Zentitle Daemon Server to a FlexNet License Server.

Plan the changeIdentify the machine that will host the new FlexNet License Server. This can be a new server or an existing one.
Decommission the Zentitle Daemon ServerShut down the Zentitle server virtual machine and remove it from service when you are ready to cut over.
Install the FlexNet License ServerInstall the FlexNet License Server on the new license server machine, including the latest PHMT13.exe daemon.
Send server details to PHM TechnologyProvide the server MAC address or Composite ID, plus the server hostname.
Receive your new license filePHM Technology will generate and send a new FlexNet license file with the same expiration date and entitlements as your current license.
Install the license fileInstall the license file on the new FlexNet License Server and start or restart the licensing service.
Update MADE client settingsPoint each MADE workstation to the new FlexNet License Server using the hostname or IP address provided in your setup documentation.
Install MADE 3.9.1Install MADE 3.9.1 on each workstation.
Confirm licensing is workingConfirm MADE opens and licensing is working correctly for all users.

You already use FlexNet License Server offline

Upgrade MADE to 3.9.1 and update the license server daemon, PHMT13.exe, to the latest version.

Upgrade the FlexNet daemonOn your license server machine, upgrade the FlexNet daemon to the latest version.
Restart licensingRestart the licensing service on the license server.
Install MADE 3.9.1 on workstationsInstall MADE 3.9.1 on each workstation that runs MADE.
Confirm user accessConfirm each user can connect to the license server and open MADE as usual.

The FlexNet guide explains server requirements, deployment options, network ports, client configuration, and migration from Zentitle-based licensing.

Key server details

  • Recommended option: FlexNet Publisher License Server Manager, also known as lmadmin.
  • Alternative option: legacy LMTools / lmgrd for organisations already operating a FlexNet server.
  • Required ports: 27000 TCP for FlexNet License Manager and 55005 TCP for the PHMT13 vendor daemon.
  • Optional port: 8090 TCP for the lmadmin web administration console.

Client configuration

  • Users can connect through the MADE License Wizard.
  • Administrators can use the PHMT13_LICENSE_FILE environment variable.
  • Format: port@hostname, for example 27000@licenseserver.company.local.

MADE FlexNet licensing requires TCP port 27000 for the FlexNet License Manager and TCP port 55005 for the PHMT13 vendor daemon. Port 8090 is optional and only required if administrators need remote access to the lmadmin web console.
How do client machines connect to the new FlexNet License Server?
